Carol was a fantastic nurse to have while going through my treatment period. She took care in ensuring that I was given the correct medication, explained the benefits & side effects, and allowed me to slowly work up to the dosage I required. She is quick to respond & works towards the long term results. Would definitely recommend her to anyone.

My experience of being treated by Carol was excellent. She regularly went out of her way to ensure I was getting the right care and advice regarding my medication, and always happy to hear and consider my concerns and difficulties. She was always quick to respond and very informative. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Carol I would say has been outstanding in her duty whilst helping me find the right dosage to help best treat my ADHD. Throughout the process she was very attentive, helpful and could certainly be relied upon, unfortunately unlike our over stretched health service. I would highly recommend Carol to anybody for this service.

  • Nurse Independent/Supplementary Prescriber

Profile

I am a registered nurse prescriber. I started my journey as a mental health nurse by completing the recognised nursing course in the UK. Since qualifying as a nurse in 2011, I have worked in acute inpatient and community settings. I have helped pioneered the start of an NHS Adult ADHD service in 2011 and developed the service together with a Consultant Psychiatrist and provided a nurse led service for adults. Since 2011, I have participated in training conferences to help train other clinicians who were planning to start an adult ADHD service in their locality or those who have just started working in an adult ADHD service. I have given talks about the nurse led Adult ADHD service that I have helped pioneered in conferences/training sessions.

I was voted Clinician of The Year in 2017 in the NHS Trust I was working with, and this reflects my dedication and commitment to continue to develop my nursing practice and deliver the best nursing intervention to those in need.
